Nature Conservation in France

Over 100 photos commissioned for a nature conservation exhibition

Nature photography images commissioned to illustrate an exhibition by the French government funded nature conservation organisation, 'Espaces Naturel Sensible', featuring biotopes with various fauna and flora species in their natural environment such as saltmarshes, coastlines, grasslands, woodlands, wetlands... all of which are found on the south-west of France near the mouth of the Gironde estuary and the beautiful small islands such as the Ile de Ré, and Ile d'Oléron off the coast of Charente-Maritime. The conservation organisation invests in land with specific natural value for the richness of vegetal and animal species found on the site and is of utmost importance to preserve and protect.

This was a very interesting nature conservation project where I discovered many new biotopes in the region and often returning to the same places over and over again hoping to catch better lighting conditions for the landscape photos.

These are only a few photos taken at the exhibition itself as I cannot publish the photos used for the illustration because of copyright. I sold the legal rights to the organisation for a period of ten years and only they can publish these images.
